Snowfall

Disclaimer: The server might fall over and die or be unplayable, I'm figuring this out as I go.

Seasons Greetings

Snowfall is an isometric multiplayer PvP snowball fighting deathmatch game. Send your friends home cold and wet, team up with them against other players, or just walk around the neighborhood and take down the NPC bullies in Free Roam mode.

Scoring

Each player has two stats, warmth measured by the red orb, and wonder measured by the blue orb.

If your warmth reaches zero you are knocked down, your attacker gets credited for incapacitating you. Being downed will deplete your wonder, when it reaches zero you 'go home' and respawn there. Hitting other players or NPC bullies with a snowball increases your wonder

If your wonder is full any further hits you make are counted as your score and your warmth will slowly regenerate when you're moving around.

What's included in the game

There is only one map, and there is no singleplayer story. This is intended as a multiplayer-first game.

The game probably also includes many catastrophic bugs and glitches, please tell me and I might fix them.

Host your own server

The dedicated server binary and a hosting guide will soon be included for download.

Future Development

This project was actually a learning experience for me over the course of a few months. There are many things I could have done better and many features I would have liked to include

• Visible footsteps in the snow
• Text chat, proximity voice chat could also be fun
• More maps
• Building fortifications
• A minimap
• Christmas decorations for December
